Waybills reported back immediately

100 of Fraktcentralen i Gestrikland AB’s vehicles were fitted with Co-Driver from Vehco.  Waybills are now sent and reported back digitally. The transport manager sends an enquiry to vehicles out in the field. The drivers get an enquiry with several response alternatives. By pressing the hand-held computer’s screen they sign for the order and the transport manager receives the information immediately. The solution is simple: by integrating  the transport management system with Vehco’s Co-Driver, administration is significantly reduced.

Investing in onboard computers also allows Fraktcentralen’s hauliers to add functions for more efficient transport. This includes eco-driving support, fuel consumption monitoring, digital tachograph readings, navigation, positioning, tracking and fast messaging.

All these services help make hauliers’ business more effective in various ways, thus reducing costs. Co-Driver’s functions give reduced fuel consumption and speed up the administration processes. Fraktcentralen’s hauliers therefore become more competitive and prepared for the future.

Fraktcentralen in Gävle chose to invest in the Co-Driver onboard computers from Vehco in December 2008. Fraktcentralen i Gestrikland AB was formed in 2004 through the merger of two LBCs, Truckcentralen and Gestrikefrakt. Fraktcentralen has around 350 units in daily service owned by self-employed hauliers. Fraktcentralen is active in the areas of plant, industry, distribution, specialist transport, plus tanker and bulk transport.
