My round timber trucks together drive 1 million kms a year. I was thinking of investing in a fuel control system but was unsure whether it would be worthwhile. But a year after getting Co-Driver I’d saved almost SEK 1 million. My forestry transport trucks drive around 200,000 kms a year each.
Critical drivers
We invested in Vehco Co-Driver in 2006 to keep track of how much fuel the trucks use every year, but I was unsure whether it was worth it or not. Drivers were also critical. They were anxious that individual driver’s fuel reports would be scrutinised and compared. There were no longer any worries after January 2006. Fuel consumption fell considerably and drivers realised it was a good system that not only helped cut emissions but also increased traffic safety.
Less stress
They no longer had to stress and exceed speed limits, which is what they’ve said themselves. I also run work reports through Co-Driver and save a lot of time and bother at the office now that the amount of paperwork has been cut and I have a better overview.
